Under Armour has established themselves as one of few brands that have the technology to put out high-end performance basketball shoes, but don’t use the technology they to its fullest potential. It’s a huge shame UA made the switch from Micro G to Charged, and now HOVR, and now is bringing back a demoted version of Micro G foam.
After we gave a look the UA SC 3ZER0 III just yesterday, new catalog images have surfaced, showcasing our First Look at the UA HOVR Havoc 2, Anatomix Spawn Mid, and SC 3ZER0 III.
The UA HOVR Havoc 2 doesn’t look to bring in any innovative technology in comparison to its predecessor model. A textile molded upper, sporting an Anafoam inspired look seems to be in place for the primary material. In addition to the materials, full-length HOVR foam is back, this time totally unadulterated and uncaged. The HOVR looks super similar to the Curry 6, which was noticeably stiff in comparison to the HOVR featured in the UA running line. Thus, lets hope cushioning won’t be a disappointment this time around because Under Armour hasn’t seen to be able to implement the foam as well as A standard lace enclosure is evident, and these shoes look to first ship on August 1st, 2019, for $120 in a mid-top look. Expect lows to arrive shortly after the Mids release, retailing for $110.
The UA Anatomix Spawn looks to arrive in mid-top form, following up with the release of the Lows this past Winter. In-hand images have already surfaced of the Anatomix Spawn Mid, and the overall tooling from the upper down is the same as the Lows. The only noticeable difference will be the collar height, and a five dollar price increase from $110, to $115. Expect these to first ship August 1st, featuring a primary build of synthetics and mesh along the upper, full-length Micro G foam, and an aggressive wave bone sole.
We’ve already reported on the UA SC 3ZER0 III, but new catalog images have appeared regarding this new silhouette. No word on whether or not these will release in a high-top rendition, but keep it locked as updates become available. This silhouette is slated to first ship October 1st, 2019, for $90. They’ll arrive featuring cheap synthetics for the upper build, while ventilation holes will provide some breathability to the actual material. In addition to that, full-length Micro G is evident, while the catalog states herringbone will be the sole’s traction tread.
