The Reigning MVP and adidas have come out with the third shoe of the line and it definitely seems to be an improvement from its predecessors, the Harden Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Let’s take a look at this dope new sneaker before I start hoopin’ in them for that Hoops Analysis.
The traction on the Vol. 3 is an aggressive herringbone tread that I for sure know will not disappoint. adidas went away from the crazy pattern featured on the Vol. 2 and went with the basic herringbone, which I’m excited for since herringbone is a tried and true patter. The material used on the upper is a nice and soft woven, which I know will play well and have a nice one to one fit with my foot.
Additionally, there’s also a strap that comes up on the midfoot and cages the boost laterally. This is the least caged Boost we are getting with the Harden line and it was noticeable to me upon first stepping inside these bad boys. The heel of this shoe is very pronounced as some have pointed out, but the lock down that this shoe provides is amazing.
Finally, I did have complaints of heel slippage when testing the Harden Vol. 2, so it’s nice to see adidas improved upon that. That’s my overview of the adidas Harden Vol. 3 before I start putting these to the test. Be on the lookout for a full-on analysis of the adidas Harden Vol. 3 in the coming weeks.
