With the highly successful releases of the Nike PG 1 and PG 2, the PG 3 looks to fulfill all the accolades its predecessor models have garnered. Quickly becoming one of the most worn sneakers on the NBA hardwood, the Nike PG 1 and PG 2 were coveted hoop models for their affordable price point of $110, bang for your buck technology, and well-rounded performance. Myself, after testing the Nike PG 1 & PG 2, I can come to the conclusion they were each definitely top hoop models for their respective release years.

We first reported upon the Nike PG 3 last month, which is expected to release in a NASA collaboration colorway, speculated for a February release. Paul George signature Nike Basketball footwear have always boasted inspiration from PG13’s life, and with the impending release of the Nike PG 3, more inspiration seems to come.

Replica images of George’s third signature Nike Basketball shoe have surfaced. No, these are not official images, but the replica images give us a clear look at what the sneakers will likely resemble. Featured in a plethora of different color schemes, the shoes sport a familiar low-cut ankle collar, removal of the midfoot strap, and a large Nike swoosh on the midfoot of the midsole. Medial and lateral synthetic adaptive lockdown wings are featured on the Nike PG 3, very similarly to the PG 2. A synthetic heel wrap is evident, while a full mesh upper seems to cover the majority of the upper.

The kicks also look to come featured with the same inner half-bootie construction as its predecessor did. Finishing off the tech will be a nearly identical bottom tooling as the Nike PG 2. Full-length phylon, and the same exact zoom air bag. The Nike Zoom Air in the forefoot will be approximately 11 mm, while having no foam or anything in between your foot and the zoom bag.

Although this set up was nice, and felt very close to unlocked zoom (like in the Jordan line), where’s the heel cushion at? This time around it seems as if Nike protruded the heel foam a bit outwards, which should hopefully *fingers crossed* provide for more heel compression and give in that area. On the other note, we have a nearly identical sole pattern as the Jordan “WHY NOT?” ZER0.2. Literal circles make up the outsole, and this should work well on dusty conditions as the grooves are deep and separated from one another/

Replicas of the Nike PG 3 have surfaced in a variety of different colorways. No, these are not the official shoe, but will give us a glimpse of what the real Nike PG 3 will look like. Thus, we don’t recommend you purchasing replicas, as they are simply… replicas. You can expect PG13’s Nike PG 3 to hit shelves in February this year. Grab a First Look at the new kicks below, and keep it locked here as further release information, & official images come underway.
