This past tuesday Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker gave the world a glimpse of what could be in store for the Jordan 1 in the near future. An instagram post with the newly released Nike React Element 87 facing off with the Air Jordan 1 “Bred”, and underneath a new silhouette combining elements of both iconic sneakers into one.
This new model features Nikes newest React cushioning in the sole which takes its shape from a blend of both the Jordan 1 and React Element 87. The upper takes pieces of both sneakers as well as features new addition neither of its inspirational predecessors have. First the upper is wrapped in what appears to be the same see thru material featured on the React Element 87. Underneath looks to be Nikes Flyknit material with a toe that mimics that of the Jordan 1. This material is also present on the tongue. The lacing system consists of the laces similar to that on the Jordan 1, but adds a new heel pull clasp for extra lockdown along the sides of the sneaker. At the top a socklike collar looks to ensure comfort.
As of right now there is no news of the Jordan 1 “React” releasingso for now the pics we have will have to do, but check back here for updates and dont forget to tell us what you think of this sneaker mashup in the comments.
