After multiple leaks, surfaced images, and speculation, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Air Zoom Freak 1 is officially unveiled by the Swoosh.
“Antetokounmpo has an incredible story,” says Mangan. “His love for Greece and reverence for his family’s journey is all great fuel for designing something unique for him. We can bridge ideas of European luxury and comfort that embody him as a person.”
The Zoom Freak 1 takes noticeable design cues from Giannis’ favorite signature line, Kobe. The Freak’s first signature shoes arrive sported with a story telling outsole, which resembles roses and Greek patterns from his Greek/Nigerian heritage. An additional phylon midsole with a large reversed Nike swoosh finishes the tooling, which also encases a double stacked heel Zoom Air bag. Finishing off the shoe is a build of mesh as the upper, with two lockdown cables at the forefoot, with Giannis’ “G and A” tongue logo stamped on.
The Nike Zoom Freak 1 ‘All Bros’ is now available on the SNKRS website, while new exclusive colorways are following this month and into September. The MSRP is $120 per pair. Share your thoughts on these in the comments, and keep it locked here for updates on the Greek Freak’s first signature shoe.
