Slated to release next week, here is an exclusive First Official Look at the Under Armour Curry 6 ‘Heart in the Town’. We first reported on these back in December, and they finally have a release date. Paying homage to the heart of the Bay Area, lets get into the full inspiration behind these, and intriguing signature detailing all around the shoes.
The Under Armour Curry 6 ‘Heart of the Town’ pays homage by honoring the city of Oakland, and the Bay Area, California. Being drafted by the Golden State Warriors franchise as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the back to back, one time-unanimous MVP, and three time NBA champion has been slept on since his Davidson College days. Pouring his sweat, tears, hard work, and bringing his fabled three point shooting talent to Golden State, Curry has been locked into the game since the day he was born. Stephen Curry and Under Armour team up to bring the inspiration of the heart of joining Oakland, & the Golden State Warriors, by this special release colorway of the UA Curry 6.
The colorway comes sported in a full red knitted upper, red TPU external heel clip, and minimal black accents along the rear knitted panelling and tongue-piece. Full length HOVR foam makes up the cushioning, while an extremely soft multi-directional sole covers the HOVR as the sole’s rubber tread. Many reports have been made to soles ripping off on the UA Curry 6, so be on the lookout before you plan on purchasing the sneakers.
Look out for the Under Armour Curry 6 ‘Heart of the Town’ to hit UA.com, UA brand houses, and select retailers on January 18th for $130. Exclusive stance socks will be an additional release to the shoes as well. Will you be grabbing this upcoming colorway of the UA Curry 6? Have you experienced outsole durability issues? Drop your thoughts in the comments, and look out to the site as more colorways come out for the UA Curry 6.
