After the leaked image of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s first signature shoe today, the Nike Greek Freak 1, what appears to be a rendered image or concept of the Nike Kyrie 5 has surfaced. Did two upcoming Nike Basketball signature models really just leak? And on the same day? Lets find out.
The Kyrie 5 will be Kyrie Irving’s fifth signature shoe with Nike Basketball. We also have other releases to look forward to in the future with the Kyrie Hybrid line, Low line, and his budget Flytrap line. Although, we’re talking about his signature line. These surfaced images seem to be renderings/concepts of what the Kyrie 5 could look like. Just like all surfaced images, this is not a guarantee of what the Kyrie 5 really will be. Just from initial speculation, these look super similar with the Nike Zoom HyperRev 2014.
Tech specification wise, we really have no idea. What we do know is that Kyrie Irving rocked the Rev 2014s, before getting his first signature shoe with Nike back in early 2015. These rendered images look to feature a dual-tone midsole, being black & white, and a pretty normal looking upper. There seems to be some form of either a strap, or lockdown cable, similar to the adidas Harden Vol. 3, except at the top of the tongue of the kicks. To top it off, we have an insanely raised heel counter, and the signature mid-top look to these, like most Kyrie’s are.
That wraps it up. All we know is that these are renderings/concepts of what the Kyrie 5 could look like, not the real thing. Either or, make sure to stay tuned to One on One Testers & The Sneaker Bulletin, for more First Looks, just like this. Thanks for tuning in!
