First reported by One on One Testers, we now have our best look yet at Kobe Bryant’s first laceless basketball sneaker, the laceless Nike Kobe AD NXT.
While these images aren’t as good quality as the ones we reported weeks prior, it gives us a better look at the FastFit system intact with the shoe. Additionally, we’ve also received confirmation that the lacing system is FastFit weeks prior as well.
While these shoes don’t look complete, and are likely just samples in comparison to the previous leaks we’ve received, performance very well could be top notch. The tooling looks to be heavily recycled from previous Kobe signature models, specifically the Kobe 11. Not only that, but it’s likely we receive a drop-in midsole, also recycled from previous Kobe shoes, just like the 11s and NXT 360. No word has surfaced on whether the cushion will be Cushlon, REACT, Phylon, Zoom, or potentially even a blend of both.
The upper is translucent in this pair so you can really see the technology being used with FastFit. Upper wise in this sample it’s likely to be a synthetic fuse which looks very cheap, with a thin synthetic tongue. An additional ankle strap can be seen too.
Performance wise, these could end up being bangers, but these are likely to be just samples. Keep it locked here for updates on the new laceless Nike Kobe AD NXT and let us know what you think below.
