Nike is back at it yet again to celebrate the Chinese New Year, the Kyrie 5 has finally surfaced online in a special CNY colorway. Lets welcome the Nike Kyrie 5 ‘Chinese New Year’ to the plethora of colorways we’ll see from this shoe Last year, we say the Kyrie 4 CNY boast a dope red upper with a special flower and swoosh logo.

This year’s Kyrie 5 CNY is more subtle compared to its predecessor. That doesn’t mean it’s still not a hype colorway, this simpler approach works for the Kyrie 5 Chinese New Year. It’s awesome to see that Nike is using that flytrap lockdown to make awesome colorways with.

The Kyrie 5 CNY features an all black engineered mesh upper with a multicolor pattern on the heel, where the all seeing eye logo usually is. The flytrap lockdown strap is also the same multicolor pattern that is used on the heel of the shoe and really makes the shoe stand out.

The midsole is all black with the Zoom labeling in the front being purple. The outsole is something we’ve seen plenty of times before on previous Kyrie 5 colorways, white with multicolor traction pods (eyes in this case).

No word on a release date, but you can expect these to release around February for an overseas Asia release, while a confirmed stateside release hasn’t surfaced quite yet. Keep it locked into the site as more official release details come underway, and make sure to share your thoughts on the newest Nike Kyrie 5 colorway down below.
