One on One Nation, Nike is dropping even more heat in the coming weeks, this time it’s going to be the Nike Kobe 1 Protro ‘All Star’. If you don’t know what ‘Protro’ means, it means “performance-retro”. It’s a retro pair of sneakers with additional performance features that makes the shoe playable on court in modern time. Yeah, it’s as dope as it sounds.
The upcoming Kobe 1s feature a full grain leather upper, full-length Nike Zoom Air cushioning, carbon fiber shank plate, and a grippy herringbone outsole. Kobe’s goal was to reduce weight from the original shoes to make these more playable on court, as well as modern them up. Inspired after the 2006 All Star Game, there’s special branding all around the sneakers; stars all around the sneakers & the All Star 2006 logo on the inner portion of the tongue. You can expect to see the Nike Kobe 1 Protro ‘All Star’ to release August 17th at select Nike retailers for $175. Who’s copping?
