Following up with its predecessor, the Nike Kyrie 3 ‘Raygun’, the Kyrie 5 has arrived in its newest of many collaborations. Over the past two years, Nike Basketball has used countless colorways of the Nike Kyrie 3, 4, & 5 to pay homage to iconic sneakers of the past, and some of Kyrie’s memories throughout his childhood.
The “Friends” colorway pays homage to his favorite childhood TV show, while the “ROKIT” colorway pays homage to his favorite clothing line, and “TACO” showcases his friendship with a rapper named TACO. Lets not forget the “Cereal Pack” make-up, inspired by some of Kyrie’s favorite cereals from the General Mills brand.
The Nike Kyrie 5 ‘Raygun’ looks to follow up with its make-up of the Nike Kyrie 3. This new pair sports a navy blue upper, white speckled flytrap, and a raygun logo on the flytrap. Despite how grainy this initial leaked image is, it gives us a look at what the rest of the ‘Area 72’ inspired kicks will feature.
Although Nike hasn’t made an announcement regarding official release details for this pair, an eventual release date will definitely arouse, considering the Kyrie 3 ‘Raygun’ was an Sneakeasy Boston exclusive. Keep it locked here as updates and more images surface regarding the Nike Kyrie 5 ‘Raygun’.
