This Nike Kyrie 5 is Inspired by the UCONN Huskies

THE SNEAKER BULLETIN

The newly launched Nike Kyrie 5 is Kyrie Irving’s fifth signature basketball sneaker with Nike Basketball. Introducing Nike Zoom Air Turbo, a new venus flytrap inspired lockdown system, and insane multi-directional coverage for the hardwood. The shoes introduce some innovating technology for Nike, and the first ever articulated, and curved zoom bag in the forefoot of a Nike Basketball sneaker.

The UCONN Men’s Huskies have received their own PE of the Nike Kyrie 5, before it even releases. Being that Kyrie Irving attended Duke University, which led him to be the first overall pick in the 2011, there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing Duke exclusives of Kyrie’s fifth signature shoe. The UCONN PE comes dressed in the team colors; white, crimson, and national flag blue. Boasting a red swoosh, blue Kyrie logo, white upper, a red speckles midsole, and white outsole; these Kyrie 5s are going to put some people into awe. Finally, there’s a small touch of blue as an accent on the forefront of the midsole.

It’s highly unlikely we’ll see these Kyrie 5s release, as they are a team exclusive for the University of Connecticut’s men’s and female’s basketball teams. Nonetheless, check out some images of these heaters below, and tune in to see if these potentially have a release date, all at One on One Testers.
