Dwyane Wade’s eighth signature shoe with Chinese sports brand, Li-Ning, made its official retail debut yesterday. Also included with the official debut was a more premium version of the Way of Wade 8—the WoW 8 Infinity, which introduced a BOA-inspired lacing system at a premium price. We now have a look at three new colorways of Wade’s WoW 8 Infinity— ‘Year of the Rat’, ‘Diamonds Are Forever’, and ‘First Born’.
The WoW 8 Infinity made its official retail debut yesterday, along with its budget counterpart, the Way of Wade 8. Unfortunately, the shoe sold out within hours at trusted Li-Ning/Way of Wade retailer, Sunlight Station. Retail was $257 USD for the only colorway available, ‘305’. Fortunately enough, it appears as if more colorways are on the horizon to release in the near future for this model. However, the asking retail price won’t be cheap.
The first new offering to surface is the ‘Year of the Rat’ colorway which features several different contrasting color accents, from Red, Beige, Teal, Purple, and Gold. The colors and accents all across the shoe pay homage to the Chinese New Year, and the new year’s horoscope animal – the rat.

The second offering to surface appears to be a likely exclusive, one-of-one colorway, only for Dwyane Wade. The ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ colorway pays homage literal diamonds. The shoe comes entirely bedazzle with diamonds at the heel, midsole, and even the lacing structure and midfoot strap. We have yet to receive confirmation knowing whether or not the diamonds on the shoe are authentic or not. However, it’s highly likely they aren’t due to the cost it would be to craft a shoe with as many diamonds as this.

The third offering that has surfaced is called ‘First Born’. The shoe features a primarily Black look, with contrasting Gold accents for the midsole and Light Grey for the outsole. Completing the look is a crisp Red sockliner. It is likely inspired by Dwyane Wade’s first son, Zaire Wade.
